Community Climate Projects Awarded £250,000 in Green Futures Grants
The funded initiatives range from community-led solar energy schemes and sustainable transport pilots, to school-based eco-gardens and local repair cafés—each designed to help reduce carbon emissions and promote long-term environmental change.
“We’re thrilled to support such a diverse group of changemakers,” said Sarah Blake, GFA’s Programme Director. “These projects are powerful examples of how local action can drive national impact. Our members are not just talking about sustainability—they’re putting it into practice.”
All funded organisations will receive tailored support, including access to GFA’s sustainability training, practical toolkits, and peer learning network. Progress from the projects will be showcased at this year’s Sustainability Summit, taking place in Birmingham this October.
This round of grants marks the largest funding cycle in GFA’s history, with more opportunities set to open in early 2026. To learn more about GFA membership and future grant rounds, visit our Community Grants page.
Together, we’re building a greener future—community by community.
