Youth Climate Leaders Programme Kicks Off Across the UK
The year-long programme offers hands-on training in climate science, leadership skills, project design, and advocacy. Participants aged 16–25 will receive mentorship from environmental professionals and seed funding to launch their own eco-projects—from community clean-ups and tree planting drives to campaigns on sustainable transport and waste reduction.
“Young people have the passion, creativity, and urgency needed to tackle the climate crisis,” said GFA CEO Emma Lewis. “This programme gives them the tools, confidence, and support to turn that energy into real impact.”
The Youth Climate Leaders will also contribute to GFA’s national campaigns and share their stories at the 2025 Sustainability Summit, providing a platform for youth voices to shape the future of environmental action.
Applications for the next cohort open in early 2026. For more information on how to support or participate in the programme, visit our Youth Initiatives page.
